Early childhood is eminent for the development of children. It had been Taawon’s priority for 20 years. In 2016, their efforts were further enriched when UNICEF joined as a copartner, enhancing the program's outcomes. The critical point in this program's work is in its adoption of the integrative construction methodology in its interventions so that the impact is cumulative and can be measured for years to come. Therefore, the positive results achieved by the program are reflected in the development of workers' skills, the improvement of the physical environment of kindergartens, and the development of methodologies and work plans to be more compatible with children's needs and abilities.
The Early Childhood Education Support Program annually organizes specialized training courses for kindergarten educators. In this year's training, 103 educators from 47 kindergartens located in various Palestinian camps participated in the training experiencing notable transformations. And for Rajiyah Shaaban, an educator in the Al-Khalsa KG in the Beddawi Camp the training was a quantum leap in her performance.
"Educational planning is an essential component that helps us build our entire annual plan. This is why the training with the Al-Mabarat Association on how to draw out an educational plan was more than useful, enabling us to build comprehensive and integrated plans aligned with the specific needs and abilities of each age group. Our work now is more systematic which will raise the educational outcomes."
